Nur Esen's works will be at the Cumhuriyet Foundation Art Gallery between 26 April and 9 May…

Gazi painter-sculptor Nur Esen opens her 17th personal exhibition under the title "Sculptures on My Canvas" at the Cumhuriyet Foundation Art Gallery in Ankara on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 18.00. Nur Esen's exhibition, which brings together canvas and sculpture, will be held on May 9, 2024. It can be visited up to .

Nur Esen explained to Reflections from Art how she achieved such unity from her separate painting and sculpture works:
“In 2015, I opened an exhibition with my high-textured paintings. Later, my figures turned into reliefs and sculptures, without compromising the integrity of the subject, in a painting-like manner. 'Sculptures on My Canvas' emerged with the works I made using plasticine, the main material of which was paper, glue and a mixture of various materials, on the skeleton I prepared on the canvas.
First of all, the artist should not feel any pressure while creating his works. The artist must be free so that he can create original works. The sculptures on my canvas create different shadows on the canvas at every time of the day. I liked these shadows the most. I believe that I reflect my soul in my paintings and this is passed on to the art lovers who watch. This must be the expression of emotion or the overflow of emotion. My enthusiasm and excitement are always the same. We all know that the search of those who work in art never ends. “And it shouldn't end.”
