Famous Painter Berna Karaçalı's 3rd Personal Exhibition Meets Art Lovers in Afyon!
Afyon Kocatepe University (AKÜ) Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF) hosted the third personal exhibition of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Berna Karaçalı, a faculty member of Istanbul Topkapı University Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture.
The opening ceremony held at AKÜ M. Rıza Çerçel Culture and Art Center was attended by GSF Dean Prof. Dr. Şerife Ebru Okuyucu, Vice Deans Dr. Faculty Member Sena Coşkun and Dr. Faculty Member Fevzi Nuri Kara, as well as many faculty members, students and art lovers. The exhibition, which includes 41 original works by Karaçalı, will host its visitors until September 27.
Who is Berna Karaçalı?
Born in Istanbul, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Berna Karaçalı graduated from the Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University in 1996 with honors. Karaçalı completed her master's degree in 1999 with her thesis titled "Mathematical Visuality in Seljuk Art" and received her Proficiency in Art degree in 2009 with her thesis titled "Art and New Media in Turkey". Karaçalı, who started her academic career in 1997 as a Research Assistant, became an Associate Professor in the field of Plastic Arts in 2019. Karaçalı, who has gained an important place in the art world with her solo exhibitions such as "Tip" and "Anonymous", has participated in many mixed and group exhibitions both nationally and internationally. The artist currently serves as a faculty member at Istanbul Topkapı University and continues her art work in her studio in Istanbul.
