'Frida Kahlo's Diaries' exhibition opened to visitors for the first time in Turkey on September 28th at the Istanbul Grand Pera Historical Building as part of the Istanbul Culture Road Festival.
The physical and digital exhibition inspired by the personal diaries of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo is also the first exhibition in the world specifically prepared for diaries.
The exhibition, which is a combination of the physical and the digital, project directed by Cengiz Ayyıldız and Koray Özdemir and co-curated by Ayşe Demirci and Dilay Duman, offers a deep perspective on Kahlo's inner world and artistic journey.
Offering the opportunity to directly interact with the thoughts, feelings and sources of inspiration in Frida Kahlo's diaries, the exhibition promises visitors a unique experience.
"An experience exhibition with both physical and digital works"
Project manager Cengiz Ayyıldız, in his statement to AA, drew attention to the fact that the Culture Road Festivals are one of the few events in the world and said that he was pleased to be a part of the festival.
Ayyıldız, who emphasized that the exhibition was organized for the first time both in the world and in Turkey, noted the following:
"A very special project will be held in a very special venue. An experience exhibition with both physical and digital works. A phygital exhibition. There are new generation technologies inside. We are using artificial intelligence very actively in particular. It also has interactive sections. It is not only an exhibition where the visitor walks around and talks one-sidedly, but also an exhibition where the exhibition talks to the visitor, and contains special technologies."
The 'Frida Kahlo's Diaries' exhibition can be seen until October 26. The exhibition will meet art lovers in Antalya on November 2-30.
