Are you ready to embark on an artistic journey from the depths of the ancient world to the present day? Gökyay Foundation Chess Museum is hosting the painting exhibition “Kibele’nin Emaneti” by painter Ayla Aksoyoğlu.

The exhibition, which opened on October 5, brings together the rich cultural heritage of Anatolia with contemporary art. Ayla Aksoyoğlu masterfully reflects the goddess figures she has studied in museums for years, each with their own stories, and especially the power of Cybele, in her works.

The main theme of the exhibition, Cybele, has an important place in world mythology as a symbol of abundance, fertility and nature. These powerful figures, brought to life by Aksoyoğlu’s brush, invite viewers to a journey into the ancient mythological roots of humanity.

The works in the exhibition are as delicately crafted as the strategic moves on the chessboard, and they also establish an impressive connection between the symbolism of Cybele and the world of chess. This exhibition, which will take place in the historical atmosphere of the Gökyay Foundation Chess Museum, not only offers visitors a visual feast, but also aims to make them think about the meanings that have been carried from the depths of history to the present day.

The opening event of the exhibition took place on October 5 at 17:00 and the works can be seen at the Gökyay Foundation Chess Museum between October 5-22. Ankara.
