The Common Area Mixed Exhibition, consisting of the works of the academic staff of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University (KSÜ), met with art lovers on November 20, 2024.

The opening ceremony held at the KSÜ Yunus Emre Congress and Culture Center Exhibition Hall was attended by KSÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Alptekin Yasım and his wife Fatma Yasım, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. İrfan Ersin Akıncı and Prof. Dr. Nuri Kahveci, academic-administrative staff and students.

The exhibition, which attracted great participation on the opening day, was highly appreciated by art lovers, and brings together the works of 17 academic staff from different departments of the Faculty of Fine Arts, emphasizing interdisciplinary dialogues and the power of collective creation. Prepared with the contributions of Adem Çelik, Ali Koç, Cavit Polat, Hatice Kübra Arıkan, Mehmet Akif Kaplan, Mehmet Aksoy, Mehmet Ali Büyükparmaksız, Meltem Özsan, Mustafa Oğuz Gök, Münüre Şahin, Nazif Gür, Rabia Demir, Semih Kaşıkçı, Tuncay Koçay, Yasemin Yasa, Yeşim Ermiş and Yunus Kaya from the Departments of Painting, Textile and Fashion Design, Industrial Design and Radio, Television and Cinema, the exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to experience a wide range of artistic production. Exhibition coordinators Dr. Lecturer Tuncay Koçay, Dr. Lecturer Mehmet Aksoy and Res. Asst. Dr. Semih Kaşıkçı stated in their opening speech that the exhibition aims to create a common creative space by bringing together works by artists from different disciplines. Participants had the chance to discover how the works in the exhibition blend individual narratives with a collective spirit.

Art lovers can visit the exhibition at the KSÜ Yunus Emre Congress and Culture Center Exhibition Hall until December 6, 2024. The Common Area Mixed Exhibition continues to attract great interest not only from the Faculty of Fine Arts but also from across the city.
