Painter Bünyamin K.'s "Painting" exhibition met with art lovers at the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) Göztepe Culture Center.

The exhibition includes 35 works produced by the artist using the watercolor technique at different times.

Making a statement about the exhibition, Bünyamin K. stated that the historical Göztepe Station was a favorite exhibition venue and said, "I chose small paintings. Actually, I also do large works. Some of the works consist of city views and some of them consist of abstract paintings."

Bünyamin K. pointed out that in addition to the paintings he made recently, works he made in previous years can be seen in the exhibition and said that he loves using old frames and drawing old places.

Drawing attention to the fact that the watercolor technique is no longer preferred, Bünyamin K. said, "The basis of this lies in the fact that the watercolor technique is difficult. It requires attention and does not tolerate mistakes. Maybe 1-2 out of 100 painters work with watercolor. It should not be exposed to light. When exposed to light, other techniques also wear out, but in old watercolor paintings, we see that light weakens the painting over time."

Bünyamin K. stated that he is thinking of holding an exhibition in Bursa in the near future, and said, "There will be venues of both new Bursa and old Bursa. I will use the themes of 'The Great Ones of Bursa' and 'Snow Falls on Bursa'. I have such a project."

The exhibition can be seen until December 28. (AA)
