Number of Visitors Exceeded 95,000

The 44th edition of the International Contemporary Art Fair ARCOmadrid took place last week between March 5-9, 20215 and the total number of visitors exceeded 95,000.

ARCOmadrid, organized by IFEMA MADRID, completed its 44th edition and achieved positive results in terms of visitors and commercial activity. The high quality of the artistic content stood out at the fair and attracted great interest from both national and international collectors.

ARCOmadrid received the support of the Spanish Royal Family again this year. The King and Queen attended the opening of the fair on March 5. The fair hosted over 95,000 visitors in total, while the participation of around 40,000 art professionals was remarkable.

Madrid is Increasing Its Power on the International Art Scene

Organized this year with the participation of 214 galleries from 36 countries, ARCOmadrid has brought Madrid to an even more important position in the international art world. The fair has become a milestone for the art market in Spain and an important meeting point that strengthens the interaction and connections in the field of art between Europe and Latin America.

While the 178 galleries in the fair were exhibited within the General Program, the curated special sections also attracted attention:

This year's ARCOmadrid saw significant purchases, with the increasing interest of museums, art institutions and major collections. The fair has consolidated its role as both a trading platform for the art market and an important center where players in the sector come together.
