Who is Halit Aker?
He was born in Silifke. He went to primary school, middle school and high school in Silifke. He received his first art education from his art teacher Hakan Taşkıran during his high school education. He graduated from the Painting Department of Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts. He worked on wall painting, stained glass, mosaic and animation at different times. He worked on original printing, ceramic panels and stained glass in his workshop with Prof. Devrim Erbil for a while. He worked on workshops with the artist Veli Mert.
He painted 17 wall paintings in Silifke and its surroundings at different times and sizes. He took part in the Silifke Museum and Museum Education projects as an Art Educator. (2005-2012)
He opened an exhibition titled ‘Hagia Thekla’ in the ‘Aya Thekla Underground Church’ and Narlıkuyu Mosaic Museums in 2008.
He made a 2-meter-tall ‘Trojan Horse’ Statue from recycled materials with Çanakkale On Sekiz Mart Primary School 2nd grade teachers and students.
He took part in social responsibility projects with students of Silifke, Geyikli, Umurbey, Çanakkale Primary Schools.
His paintings are in private collections in Germany, England, France, Italy, and America.
He continues his work in Rennes (France), Istanbul, and Çanakkale
