Who is Nejat Orhan? (1955-Çankırı) The artist graduated from Ankara Gazi Education Institute, Department of Painting and completed his undergraduate degree in Anadolu University Painting Department. He worked as an art teacher in various regions of Anatolia since 1979 and then at Ankara Gazi High School, where he was appointed in 1989. He retired in 2018. During his 40 years of teaching life, he trained many art teachers and artists and he reflected the pastoral views unique to these regions in his painting. The artist, who participated in more than 100 group exhibitions starting from 1985, also opened 27 personal exhibitions. In 2006, the artist take parted in the project of “Turkey is illustrated in the 125th year of Atatürk’s birth”. and painted the province of Sinop within the scope of this project. The artist, who technically usually works in watercolor and oil color and his paintings in official and private collections. And also he who is a member of BHRD, SAKÜDER and IWS associations, continues his work in his studio in Ankara.
