Art Perspective;
“Proud, intelligent and questioning female figures that contain sadness and melancholy under their smiles inspire me. My works are colorist, figurative and naive. Picasso, Modigliani and Klimt have been my sources of inspiration; especially Amedeo Modigliani. While my figurative works were initially detailed, I later made superficial abstractions and fragmentations. I turned from colored painting to a colorist and abstractionist understanding of color. While I was making landscapes in the years I first started painting, I later moved on to figures. Currently, I occasionally include abstract landscapes behind female figures.”
