  • Who is Sezgin Yüksel? (1962-Merzifon) Sezgin Yüksel was born in Merzifon in 1962. He is originally from Ordu. After completing his primary and secondary education in Ankara, he entered the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Architecture in 1983. After completing his undergraduate education in 1987, he started working as an Urban Planner at the Trabzon Cultural and Natural Heritage Preservation Board of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. While continuing his career, he graduated from the Karadeniz Technical University, Faculty of Education, Department of Painting, Department of Graphics in 1998 as the top student of the university. He worked as a faculty member at the Karadeniz Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Urban and Regional Planning between 2005-2007. The artist has had a total of 18 personal exhibitions in Istanbul, including (4) the Metropolitan Municipality Taksim Art Gallery, Uran Art Gallery, Beyoğlu State Fine Arts Gallery and Tekel Art Gallery, (7) the Akbank Art Gallery, Development Bank Art Gallery, State Painting and Sculpture Museum Art Gallery, Halkbank Farabi Art Gallery, Arel Art Gallery and Gözde Art Gallery and Stilllife Art Gallery in Ankara, (5) the State Fine Arts Gallery in Trabzon and (2) the Ordu State Fine Arts Gallery. Six of his paintings were printed as postcards by the Deniz Temiz Turmepa Association supported by Koç Holding for two years. He conducted artistic research in museums located in various centers in Europe. Sezgin Yüksel is a member of the United Painters and Sculptors Association and also a member of the Black Sea Plastic Arts Association.
