"One" minute art stand; 'April Pass Contemporary Art Exhibition' can be visited in Ayvalık between March 28-April 13, 2025 at Ayvalık Municipality Orhan Peker Art Gallery.

The 41st of the 'October Pass' exhibitions, which started with the idea of looking at contemporary Turkish art with a global lens and opening up to the world by artist Gülsün Erbil for 23 years, opened as 'April Pass'.

The exhibition curator Oya Kalaycıoğlu said, “Our April Passage exhibition, which we prepared on the 10th anniversary of Atatürk’s arrival in Ayvalık; ‘Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’ is a tribute to the polyphony of artists who approach thinking, thought and knowledge with a free conscience, the original artistic stances of the artists, a salute to national wealth. It is a creative process in which individuals discover themselves as a source of information by intuition, questioning and confronting their experiences. The artwork they produce while moving to a higher level of awareness is a mirror of this process. The artist feels responsible for sharing what they produce with the society and culture that carry them to a higher level of awareness. For a society that is cognitively and spiritually healthy, administrators must also continue to contribute to this nourishment. We would like to thank Ayvalık Municipality for its support.” In the mixed exhibition, 34 original artworks in the form of paintings, sculptures and digital art, participated by 26 well-known Turkish artists, are waiting to meet their viewers.
