Who is Mehmet Aslan? (1945-Eşme - January 17, 2025- İzmir)

He was born in Eşme in 1945. He completed his primary education in his village and his secondary education at Savaştepe Primary School. He taught primary school in the villages of Urfa and Siirt for three years. He then entered the Gazi Education Institute Painting Department. He received graphics training in Mürşide İçmeli's workshop. In 1970, he was assigned to Uşak Primary School and taught art there for four years.

In 1974, he passed the exam held by the Ministry of National Education and was assigned to Samsun Education Institute Painting Department as a graphics teacher. Here, he worked on original printing and caricature.

He opened his first exhibition in Ankara. After working here for 5 years, he was assigned to İzmir at his own request. He taught art and graphics in various educational institutions.

In Izmir, he focused on painting, original prints and caricatures. Later, he made satirical sculptures from waste materials. He exhibited his works under the titles “Little Ones and Little Ones”, “Women”, “Lined Road”, “Iplematic”, “Basma Kalıp” and “Şeykeller” in Izmir, Ankara, Istanbul, Balıkesir, Antalya and Mersin.
