Painter Gönül Altan's painting exhibition called Esintiler will be exhibited at the Ottoman Shipyard Art Gallery between July 24 and August 6.

Who is Gönül Altan? Born in Pendik, Istanbul in 1950, the artist began her art education at the Fındıklı Fine Arts Academy in 1968 and opened her first watercolor portrait painting exhibition in 1986.

The exhibition received great interest and positive comments from the audience. It was not forgotten that one viewer expressed that she found the exhibition impressive with the comment "the warmth and connotation of the colors hitting the face as you enter the door, the eyes shining as if to experience various states of the soul that wants to agree on paper and our self that remains inside as we exit the door."

She succeeded in seeing, understanding, knowing and applying the art of painting by working very hard. With watercolor, man tried to express his nature, original textures with his own personality.

The harmony of water and paint in watercolor paintings is seen as a dance and creates an extraordinary effect.

His works, together with thematic patterns, deal with people who do not live in the city he lives in and various subjects.

The artist has received honorable mentions in various competitions and won the 3rd prize in the Izmir Colors competition. He has also participated in 33 personal exhibitions and various group exhibitions.
