Mustafa Fehmi İlik

Who is Mustafa Fehmi İlik? (1959 –Bafra)

He was born in Bafra / Samsun. After completing his primary and secondary education in Samsun and Ankara, he graduated from the Istanbul State Fine Arts Academy (MSÜ) Department of Painting, Dinçer Erimez Studio in 1985-86. He worked with Şükrü Aysan in original printing (screen printing), with Rainer Pirker in Vienna, and worked as a graphic designer and art director in various advertising agencies. He participated in the “Internationale Drawing Bienniale” held in Piriştina, Kosovo in 2022 as an invitee. He participated in various exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. He currently continues his work in his studio in Küçükyalı.

Art Perspective

He continues his works consisting of geometric abstract forms in the 1987/2005 period, with multi-layered rich colors and abstract space descriptions that he transferred from the past and the period he lived in. In his works, he mostly uses the collage technique that he creates with oil paint, acrylic and sometimes different materials.
