The International Painting Exhibition, which features works by world-famous First Wish Art Gallery members organized by Niğde Municipality and Niğde International Artists Community, was opened with a ceremony.
The original works of 21 artists from 8 different countries were presented to art lovers at the exhibition, which was opened at the Niğde Municipality Art Gallery in Kale Neighborhood. Niğde Governor Cahit Çelik, who made a speech at the opening of the exhibition, drew attention to the fact that Niğde is a rich center in terms of history and culture. Governor Çelik said; "Niğde has a history of over 10 thousand years. We have historical works from the Hittites, Phrygians, Romans, Seljuks and Ottomans that we can still use. In this context, we will also have projects that will highlight Aladağlar, Bolkarlar and other places of touristic importance in the field of tourism." Niğde Mayor Emrah Özdemir said, "The region we are in is particularly valuable. We are in the Kale region and we are carrying out a conservation and renovation project here. This project has actually started operating in many ways. As you know, the library started operating last year. The City Museum opened 3 weeks ago. With its cultural and artistic life where the number of both museums and libraries is constantly increasing, much better days await Niğde with a future where different visions await." Painter Safa Büte stated that it was the first time an art gallery in Niğde requested an exhibition and thanked Irshad Husain and Mariami Simashvili, the owner and founder of First Wish Art Gallery.
The exhibition, which includes original works made by 21 artists from the USA, India, Iran, Syria, Japan, Georgia, Pakistan and Egypt using different techniques such as oil painting and acrylic, will be open for 3 days.
