The 101st anniversary of the Republic is being celebrated with a special exhibition hosted by Panorama 1453 History Museum.
As of October 29 Republic Day, Painter Mehmet Akkaya's painting exhibition reflecting the spirit of the National Forces awaits you. The exhibition, which will include works consisting of the spirit of the National Forces and portraits of Atatürk, includes works reflecting historical resistance and victory. This special exhibition aims to tell the strategic steps of the War of Independence, which developed under the leadership of Atatürk, who prepared the birth of modern Turkey by combining the spirit of the National Forces with the nation's determination for independence, the role of the National Forces and the turning points of the Turkish nation's struggle for independence with historical documents and visuals.
The exhibition can be visited at "Panorama1453 History Museum" Istanbul between October 29 - November 30.
Who is Mehmet Akkaya?
Mehmet Akkaya was born in 1972. The artist graduated from Gazi University, Department of Painting in 1994. He established his first private art gallery in Aydın in 2009 and was selected as the “Görsed Visual Arts Instructor of the Year” in 2017. While he deals with the themes of social justice, peace and harmony with nature in his art, he aims to take the viewer on deep intellectual journeys. With his multi-layered narrative, his works carry strong messages both aesthetically and philosophically.
He has opened 42 personal exhibitions in Turkey and abroad, and his works have been exhibited internationally in countries such as Japan, Norway, Poland, Thailand, English and Germany. He continues his artistic work in his workshops in İzmir and Aydın
