    • Who is Adnan Turani? Who is Adnan Turani, who has published works on plastic arts aesthetics, art philosophy and art history? Sections from the life story of Adnan Turani, who advocates abstract understanding and tries to apply a sincere discipline in his art, which shows continuous development, are as follows; He was born in 1925 in BeÅŸiktaÅŸ district of Istanbul. He graduated from Istanbul Teacher Training School as a primary school teacher. After graduating from the art department of Ankara Gazi Education Institute in 1945, he worked as an art teacher for five years. He went to Germany with a state scholarship in 1953. He studied with Franz Nagel at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, with Henninger and Willi Baumeister at the Stuttgart Academy of Fine Arts, and with Heins Trokes at the Hamburg Academy of Fine Arts. He completed his undergraduate and graduate studies and returned to Turkey. When he returned home in 1959, he started working as a workshop teacher in the painting department of Gazi Education Institute and continued this job until 1970. In 1970, he also took classes at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Letters and Fine Arts. He also served as coordinator of the Institute of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University, where he started his doctorate in 1972. The artist, who received his doctorate in 1973, became an associate professor in 1978. He worked as a lecturer in the art history department of Hacettepe University Faculty of Letters until 1986. Adnan Turani, who was the head of the painting department at Bilkent University Faculty of Fine Arts between 1986 and 1987, retired in 1990. Adnan Turani also has published works on plastic arts aesthetics, art philosophy and art history, which he prepared during his time as a higher education professor. Turani, who had been working in Ankara, the city where he lived, since 1990, died on December 17, 2016, at Hacettepe University Hospital, where he was treated.
