Who is Bünyamin Küçükkürtül? (1971-Kahramanmaraş) He was born in 1971. He completed his primary and secondary education in Kahramanaraş. He studied painting at Bursa Uludağ University. He taught painting for 30 years. He established painting workshops in the cities he was in. He mainly works with watercolor technique. He exhibited paintings that can be considered large-sized for watercolor technique in his exhibitions at home and abroad. The artist, who works on subjects such as city, architecture and nature paintings, usually tends towards semi-abstract expression in color, form and stain understanding. The artist explains his preference for watercolor as a technique as follows: The practicality of the technique, reaching the result quickly, and the opportunity to work in any environment compared to other techniques are important to me. It is also important that the paint does not have a covering feature. Since watercolor is semi-transparent, feeling the layer is like feeling the anatomy under the dress, the internal skeleton inside the structure. When using watercolor, we see that a silk fabric reflects the feeling it gives on objects and people. Getting used to this technique, which completes a stripped-down aesthetic and strengthens and multiplies the visual expression of the object, feels like wearing a thick sweater while using other techniques. I usually work with watercolor wet on wet. While applying, the fact that the brush is not completely under control due to the effect of water, partially coincidental progressions increase the pleasure of working, and adding half-chance to the results is exciting. Bünyamin K. In his works, there are few color preferences and the dominance of soft colors. He usually does not take detail into consideration. He gives enough detail to describe the object on the general form.
