İlker Sarı, who tries to bring cultural values to the fore in his art, creates digital media with new plastic experiences; He tries to establish a connection with today's art. Here is İlker Sarı's artistic life and the events he attended;
He was born in Mersin. He completed his undergraduate education at Gazi University, Gazi Faculty of Education, Department of Fine Arts Education and Crafts; She completed her master's degree (with thesis) at Mersin University, Institute of Fine Arts, Department of Painting.
She took part in many indoor and outdoor murals in public areas and in the advertising and promotional activities of various magazines and book covers. In addition to his personal exhibitions, he participated in many national / international fairs, group exhibitions and competitions and received awards. İlker Sarı, who continues his active artistic and academic studies; His works are in collections both at home and abroad, especially in countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Italy, England, TRNC and Azerbaijan.

In his works, compositions with images on the surface and local motifs placed in the background with a colorist attitude attract attention. We also see that he sometimes divides the motifs he uses as background with forms or creates space values with lyrical brush strokes. This gives a dynamic structure to the images he uses on the surface and presents a surface dynamic that he tries to convey with color solutions within the color motifs.
The artist often uses the partridge bird as an image in his works. The partridge bird is a bird that represents our culture and reflects the folkloric and sociological values of Anatolia. It is also common in our folk songs and folkloric values.
We can say that the reason why İlker Sarı preferred the image of the Partridge is that the partridge bird, which the artist also considers as his special research area, is a symbol of beauty and purity and to ensure that this element is carried to the present day as a cultural expression tool on the painting surface. In this sense, the choice of the partridge bird, which is considered to be the representation of many values, in the artist's painting is the desire to convey its place and value in Turkish art to the plastic medium with an analytical and aesthetic attitude.”
