In his works, compositions with images on the surface and local motifs placed in the background with a colorist attitude attract attention. We also see that he sometimes divides the motifs he uses as background with forms or creates space values with lyrical brush strokes. This gives a dynamic structure to the images he uses on the surface and presents a surface dynamic that he tries to convey with color solutions within the color motifs. The artist often uses the partridge bird as an image in his works. The partridge bird is a bird that represents our culture and reflects the folkloric and sociological values of Anatolia. It is also common in our folk songs and folkloric values. We can say that the reason why İlker Sarı preferred the image of the Partridge is that the partridge bird, which the artist also considers as his special research area, is a symbol of beauty and purity and to ensure that this element is carried to the present day as a cultural expression tool on the painting surface. In this sense, the choice of the partridge bird, which is considered to be the representation of many values, in the artist's painting is the desire to convey its place and value in Turkish art to the plastic medium with an analytical and aesthetic attitude.” SELECTED PERSONAL EXHIBITIONS 2010 –“Touching is Prohibited!” Painting Exhibition, MERSİN 2008 – “Right Place-Wrong Time” Painting Exhibition, MERSİN 2007 – “12th Year in the Shadow of the Brush” Painting Exhibition, MERSİN 2005 – “Capital Through My Lens” Photography Exhibition, MERSİN 2004 – “It Must Be Re-Created” Painting Exhibition, MERSİN AWARDS 2021 – Turkish Cypriot National History and Modern Arts Museum, “From Alaşya to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus” International Graduate Visual Arts Competition, Collection and Exhibition Award, TRNC 2020 -“Kindness is Contagious!” Orange Blossom UPSK, Honor Award, ANKARA 2019 – 1st International Juried Painting Exhibition, Honor Award, ELAZIĞ 2019 – International “ONE DROP OF HUMAN” Painting Exhibition, Honor Award, MERSİN 2018 – Özalp District Governorship, Outstanding Service and Achievement Award, VAN 2018 – Özalp District Police Department, Service Honor Award, VAN 2016 – Özalp District Gendarmerie Command, Service Honor Award, VAN 2016 – Özalp District Police Department, Service Honor Award, VAN 2010 – 37th International Silifke Culture Week Honor Award, MERSİN 2008 – Land Forces Command, Comic Book Project Award, ANKARA 2008 – 35th International Silifke Culture Week Honor Award, MERSİN 2008 – 1st Prize Silifke Municipality Painting Competition, Special Jury Prize, MERSİN 2008 – Mut Apricot Festival, Honor Award, MERSİN 2007 – 34th International Silifke Culture Week Honor Award, MERSİN 2005 – 32nd International Silifke Culture Week Honor Award, MERSİN 2004 – 31st International Silifke Culture Week Honor Award, MERSİN 2004 – Gazi University Photography Competition, Honorable Mention, ANKARA 2001 – Göksu Foundation Painting Competition 2nd Prize, MERSİN 1998 – Göksu Foundation Painting Competition, Special Jury Prize, MERSİN
