Who is Mine Özgen? (1972-İzmir) She was born in İzmir in 1972. She completed her primary, secondary and high school education in Samsun. In 1989, she continued her education by winning the Painting Department of Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Fine Arts. After graduating in 1993, she started working as a Visual Arts Teacher. She worked in middle and high school equivalent schools in Giresun and Sinop. In 2015, she was appointed as a Visual Arts Teacher at Sinop Science and Art Center. In 2019, she completed her master’s degree with her thesis on “The Importance of Visual Arts Education in Talent Development” at İstanbul Gelişim University. She participated in national and international art fairs and exhibitions with her works. She was a member of the Sinopale International Sinop Biennial team. Özgen, who is a part of the scientific, cultural and artistic works research project team carried out in France, Italy, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic and Slovakia, presented papers in many symposiums, workshops and congresses in the field of education of the gifted and specially talented. Özgen, who also supports many social responsibility projects as an artist and educator, teaches gifted and specially talented students at Sinop Bilsem Visual Arts Workshop and continues his artistic works. Art Perspective; The creation process of his works is the most emotional and concentrated period of the artist. Giving life to the images in his imagination and abstracting them with contrasting colors can perhaps be considered as an expressionist approach. He interprets himself as an original and at the same time free expressionist.
