  Orhan Kurmalı, who draws like cartoons, creates expressive paintings. The artistic life of Orhan Kurmalı, where primary colors come to the fore in his paintings, is as follows; Born in Ankara Ayaş in 1961, Kurmalı graduated from Gazi University, Gazi Faculty of Education, Department of Painting and Crafts in 1985. He completed his master's degree in Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting, in 1991. The artist, who participated in many group exhibitions in the country, has works in official and private collections, especially in Ankara Painting and Sculpture Museum. The artist continues his work independently in his own workshop. The passions and obsessions we have accumulated subconsciously in the paintings and the motifs used add meaning to the work. Primary colors stand out in his paintings made in an expressive style. I always wanted to portray all the beauties, psychological states, fears and anxieties of human life with a mise-en-scene approach. The artist actually paints his own life. Hard work and observation led to the emergence of these works. Those who see these paintings and those who see Orhan Kurmalı's paintings may consider him a master cartoonist. But above all, he is a creative, master painter.
