  Özlem Kılıç Soman (1978-Sivas) Born in 1978, the artist completed her higher education at Erzurum Atatürk University Kazım Karabekir Faculty of Education, Department of Art Education. The artist, who has participated in various workshops and exhibitions in the country, works as a Visual Arts Teacher at a state school affiliated with the Ministry of National Education and continues her work in Izmir. Art Perspective; ‘‘My art exists to remind us of the pure emotions that are about to disappear, the unfiltered world of childhood and the inner connection we establish with nature. My admiration for the sincerity of children’s paintings forms the basis of my creative process. Their unfiltered and free style of expression, coming directly from the heart, is the purest source of inspiration for me… I want my figures to remind us of the serenity forgotten in the chaos of the modern world, the connection we establish with nature and ourselves—and most of all, love… A silent peace, a love felt at a glance, and the depth within serenity… My characters embark on a fairytale journey to rediscover the simple peace offered by nature and man, while being nourished by the power of a silent dialogue. When the eyes close, what is seen with the heart turns into a new world. Quiet yet strong, naive yet deep, just like getting lost in a dream.
