  Who is Tülay Dikicioğlu? (1962-Erzincan) She was born in Erzincan in 1962. Due to her father's job, she completed her primary and secondary school in various cities of Turkey and her high school education at Ankara Gazi High School. After entering the Painting Department of Gazi University Faculty of Education in 1980, she graduated in 1984. She worked as an interior architect, art teacher, art history teacher, school principal and held various positions in art commissions. She still teaches in her own studio and continues her art work. Basically, she brings together the aesthetic beauty of female figures and the breadth of her imagination; she reflects aesthetic feelings and imaginative pictorial expression on her canvas with figures and colors. Her Artistic Perspective: While painting is revealed with a very deep and strong emotion for her, she creates sparkling, spotted and dynamic universes in her mind where figures are washed with colors, far from chaos, before her hand reaches the palette. While a picture without figures seems like a world without people to her, she definitely establishes an internal empathy with those figures and keeps them away from melancholy. She does not confine her figures within perspective and spatial elements. They are free and most of the time “Women”. Hopeful, original and happy to exist, women are people.
