  Who is Yasemin Uzun? (1987 – Trabzon) She was born in Trabzon in 1987. She completed her high school education at Trabzon Anatolian Fine Arts High School. She graduated from Karadeniz Technical University, Department of Painting and Crafts Teaching with honors. In 2011, she started working in Erzurum as a Visual Arts teacher. In 2017, she completed her Master’s degree in the Department of Fine Arts Education at Karadeniz Technical University. In 2021, she completed her PhD in the Department of Fine Arts Education at Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University and received the title of Dr. She works as a Visual Arts teacher at the Science and Art Center in Trabzon. The artist, who contributes to the field of art academia with her works such as thesis projects, proclamations, articles and book sections, has also been awarded the Certificate of Outstanding Achievement by the Ministry of National Education as an art educator. She has taken part in many artistic events such as fairs, workshops, symposiums and exhibitions and continues to take part regularly. The artist, who has one personal exhibition, continues her work in her own art studio. Art Perspective; In her works, Yasemin Uzun mostly transfers human psychology, existential philosophy and search for meaning to the canvas with female figures. The artist, who thinks that hands directly reflect human emotions, frequently uses hand forms in her works. The artist, who captures a different emotion in each character she paints, tries to use light effectively in her figures.
