  Who is Yusuf Özdemir? (1986-Adıyaman) He was born in 1986 in Adıyaman. He won the Department of Art Teaching at Harran University in 2006. After two years of education, he transferred horizontally and transferred to the Department of Art Teaching at Selçuk University Ahmet Keleşoğlu Faculty of Education in Konya. He graduated in 2010. He continues his education by completing his master's degree at Gaziantep University Faculty of Fine Arts. He has been working as a teacher at the Ministry of National Education since 2013. His works are in private collections. Art Perspective; Art is not only an aesthetic production process for me, but also a continuation of memory, past and rupture. In my works, I investigate how textures and particles of a surface can be expressed. Each layer is processed into my paintings like a memory carrying the traces of the past. I try to visualize the gaps with traditional motifs, aging techniques and surface textures. Inspired by old objects, the memory of places and forgotten traditions, I aim to carry forward without forgetting the past. The main concept I focused on during my master's degree was "The Power of Textures in Expressing Emotions". This ability allows me to trace a different emotion in one of my works, and I present a new story to the viewer with the language of the surface. Concepts such as nature and human memory form the cornerstones of artistic production. It is in the region that art is not only a field that appeals to the eye, but also an experience that touches the human soul and triggers memory. In this direction, my works aim to be a bridge between the past and the future.
