Rana Sirkecioğlu - Turkish Painting Association

Who is Rana Sirkecioğlu? (1962- Istanbul)

Born in Istanbul, Rana Sirkecioğlu graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Graphic Design in 1985, completing her master’s degree. She first worked as a graphic designer in advertising agencies in Istanbul, and then as an art director in companies in the pharmaceutical sector. She reflects the expression of her own naturalness on her canvas in an abstract way with mass, color and dense textures with the acrylic technique, also influenced by her graphic background. The starting point of her abstract works is the view that objects emerge from within or as part of our true nature with the tones of the layers she obtains with these textures. Her works are in public and private collections. She has held nine personal exhibitions. The artist, who has participated in many juried mixed exhibitions and workshops, including abroad, is a member of BRHD (United Painters and Sculptors Association).
