Who is Şahin Beki? (1988 – Diyarbakır)

Şahin Beki was born in Diyarbakır in 1988. He graduated from Dicle University Ziya Gökalp Faculty of Education, Fine Arts Department of Painting Education with honors in 2014. He started teaching painting to university preparatory and hobby students in the same year. He participated in various exhibitions with his works at the university and as a group. The artist’s artistic view, who produces works in the field of contemporary painting, is to delve into the cyclical, repetitive and self-renewing harmony and harmony of the universe and the care of matter, which is also a part of the universe. In the universe, where it is obvious that there is a different beauty in each part, it is known that each color of a flower creates different feelings and moods in people and that each flower evokes different feelings and thoughts in its different scent. The repetition of the universe is similar to this, each repetition actually differs with the feelings that different moods evoke in people. Humanity has developed different instruments to express these feelings. Art is at the forefront of these instruments. Art is the most important tool for enriching time and moment. The dreams, feelings and intuitions of man, who is a being that does not repeat itself in the universe. These human approaches are like the completion, fitting and integration of a missing piece. With this understanding, the artist depicts the colors, texture and harmony of the universe in his paintings; while reflecting the harmony of its movement on a complex axis within a whole. At the same time, the integrity and repetition of the images used in the composition are included in his works. He creates dynamic compositions using vivid colors, depth and abstract forms. The works of the artist, who produces acrylic and oil paintings, are exhibited in various galleries, collectors and auctions. The artist continues his master’s degree in the Department of Fine Arts at Dicle University Ziya Gökalp Faculty of Education.
