The Women and Art Stuck in Between project aims to increase the visibility of women in the field of art and address the effects of gender inequality in art. The project, which will be held at the Konak Metro Art Gallery in collaboration with the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Culture and Arts Department between March 6 and April 30, 2025, aims to emphasize the role of art in sustainable development and to bring universal values such as women's rights, social equality, cultural diversity and social justice to the agenda through art.

The project aims to discuss the problems arising from gender inequality with the power of art and to bring to the agenda the problems of invisibility and marginalization that women artists have faced throughout history. Both artists and individuals from different segments of society will be brought together through panels, exhibitions, trainings and workshops. In addition, training modules will be offered for young artists and their artistic production processes will be supported.
The project aims to bring together women's rights advocates, artists, academics and art audiences by adopting an interdisciplinary approach and to contribute to the spread of social equality awareness in art. ARAFTA creates a solidarity and visibility platform for women artists and young producers.
