The 'World of Pictures - A Current Look at Painting' exhibition prepared by the Hungarian Academy of Arts met with art lovers in Ankara. The exhibition opened at the Çankaya Municipality Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center.
Important Names Gathered at the Opening
The opening ceremony was attended by Hungarian Ambassador to Ankara Viktor Matis, Hungarian Academy of Arts Vice President Janos Kiss and Academy Member Jozsef Szurcsik, as well as many artists and guests. In his speech at the event, Ambassador Matis stated that they continued their art activities despite the end of the 2024 Turkish-Hungarian Year of Culture and wished art lovers to enjoy the works in the exhibition.

The exhibition presents a cross-section that displays the characteristic features of contemporary Hungarian painting. Featuring works by 24 painters representing three generations, this exhibition emphasizes the visual perspectives of the painters, the movements they are affiliated with, their styles and the variety of techniques they use. The exhibition will be open to visitors until April 15.
