This exhibition titled ‘Echo of Ancient Times’ revives the magnificent peaks of the Binboğa Mountains, which bear the traces of nature and the past, together with the stone houses and narrow streets of Yeşilkent through works of art.

The exhibition is curated by Hicran Aksöz, while Ramazan Demirci serves as the project coordinator. The exhibition, which opened on August 12, will host visitors at Yeşilkent Primary School until August 15 (tomorrow).

Sarız District Governor Kerem Albayrak, Sarız Mayor Ömer Faruk Eroğlu, Sarız Police Chief Aydın Kenger and many local people attended the opening of the exhibition. This special event offers the local people and visitors from the surrounding villages the opportunity to get to know the cultural heritage and pass it on to future generations.

The ‘Echo of Ancient Times’ exhibition invites viewers to a multi-layered experience by combining the universal language of art with traces of nature and history. Visitors embark on a journey into the past with works of art inspired by the legends of the Binboğa Mountains and daily life in Yeşilkent. The exhibition includes 27 works of art, 3 installations and 1 video work.

Among the artists in the exhibition, Memduh Kuzay and Ramazan Demirci tell the legends of the Binboğa Mountains and the rhythm of nature with a visual language. In addition, a talk held in artist Memduh Kuzay’s studio and a climbing event in the Binboğa Mountains on the second day of the exhibition offered a unique experience to the participants.

The exhibition, which was visited by 700 people in three days, brings together the cultural heritage of Yeşilkent with art and builds a bridge from the past to the present. The exhibition can be visited free of charge at Yeşilkent Primary School until August 15.
