“All expressions can change with the slightest brush stroke”
Speaking about the difficulties of drawing portraits, Özyonar underlined the importance of disciplined work as well as talent in painting and in every branch of art, and summarized his own painting journey with the following words:
“I took my painting studies, which I started with charcoal in high school, to a professional level after my retirement. I added new dimensions to my talent by working very hard. Creating works on women’s faces and expressions is both a great source of motivation and a challenging process for me.
All expressions can change with the slightest brush stroke. Although it is difficult to make this a composition and present it, it is very enjoyable. It is very pleasing to be here with such an exhibition, to be together with dear Ayşe Arkün and Ayşegül Bora.”
A selection of 76 works in front of the audience
In the “Reflections” exhibition, 76 works of painter Özyonar in different sizes are presented to art lovers.
